ROCKUP 2008

"Rock Up! is a fundraising event that uses the influence of music to make a change in the lives of others. The event includes a concert where musicians, singers, dancers and celebrities come together to highlight the plight of the Agathians Shelter Home. The Home is currently raising funds for the construction of their new residence and is in need of RM350,000 to complete the construction of their new residence. However this fundraising event will be aiming to raise at least RM100,000 in order for the home to begin construction work.

This event, “Rock up” means to be present, and by using that, we are asking the public to show up and be present at the event to make a change in the lives of these children.

We are hosting a charity event at The Curve on the 9th of May, 2008.

Raffle tickets will be sold before and during the event itself, and buyers will stand a chance to win the 16 prizes on offer. In line with the event’s tagline “Music to Change”, the event will feature musical and dance performances from the children of Agathians Shelter, Diplomats of Drum, Furniture, Junji Delfino and many others. It will also feature a celebrity fashion show where the clothes worn by the models will be sold in an auction."
